Flat light and a covered sky today, with hardly a ripple anywhere and pressure going nowhere. Give points where shallow meets deep the first hour at Lac Chasy. The strongest window is the night. Take the steady approach over the searching one. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Within Laurentides, Quebec, you have Lac Chasy. It lies 416 metres above sea level. It covers about 8 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. Some 37 km away sits Rivière-Rouge, the nearest settlement. Labelle lies 48 km off, La Minerve another 56 km. Others worth noting: Lac Travecy within 0.6 km, Lac McRae near enough 1 km, Lac Lombard within 1.9 km, Lac Theo near enough 1.9 km and Petit lac McIntyre within 2.3 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Species logged across Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass. It is the county picture; the agency list is water-specific. Fish Lac Chasy where the bottom changes rather than where it looks deep.
The year swings from about -15°C in January to roughly 17°C in July. Spring and autumn carry the fishing; summer and winter test it. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from late April. Open water usually runs from late April until about late November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. At Lac Chasy the season follows that pattern closely.
Access is not recorded for this water. Overnight stays are possible 300 m away. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac Travecy sits 0.6 km off and takes the overflow. Treat Lac Chasy as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
