No direct sun expected today, with a faint SSW drift with the glass holding level. Lac Chalina should fish best around the weed line and any gaps in it today. A stay-home graph, with the evening as the one excuse to go. Scale down and fish slowly. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Lac Chalina sits in Outaouais, out in Quebec. Everything around it is rolling bush. This is a tiny water, and one quiet approach covers all of it. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Outaouais. Saint-Boniface is the closest town at 71 km. Ferme-Neuve lies 78 km off, Maniwaki another 84 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
Nothing in our records gives a depth for this one. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, yellow perch, smallmouth bass and rainbow smelt. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. At Lac Chalina the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
July runs about 17°C on average, January about -17°C. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Ice fishing carries the winter, and the water opens about early May. The season between ice runs from about early May to late November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. The season on Lac Chalina rarely departs from it.
Public sources are silent on who controls the bank. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. The nearest alternative is Lac Dear, 0.4 km out. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Chalina for certain.
