Glare on the water under a clear sky, with a proper ripple driven from the SSW and pressure going nowhere. Fish at Lac Bouzan should hold close to sheltered bays and points. If you must go, go in the evening. Save the long walk for a better forecast. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Lac Bouzan is one of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue listings for Quebec. It stands 285 metres above sea level. At about 12 hectares, a day is enough to walk the shoreline properly. A shoreline of some 1.5 km keeps the choices simple. The town to know is Rouyn-Noranda, 6.1 km out. Further out sit Macamic (61 km) and Malartic (62 km). There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
We hold no depth figure for this one. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Survey and observation records for Abitibi-Témiscamingue include northern pike, yellow perch, walleye, white sucker and brown bullhead. County records show the wider picture rather than this one place. The shape of Lac Bouzan decides where the fish sit.
The seasonal spread runs -16°C to 18°C. Winter closes the water for a while, and the reopening is worth catching. Count the season from break-up, usually early May. The lid tends to go about early May and return around mid November. Look to early summer and the first cool weeks of autumn. It sets the rhythm of the year at Lac Bouzan.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Where the road in crosses private land, ask first. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Lac Moore sits 1.3 km off and takes the overflow. None of that is settled for Lac Bouzan in what we hold.
