Showers crossing the water today, with a gentle ripple from the S with a settled glass. Fish at Lac Boubou should hold close to structure within a cast of the bank. The night is where the day comes good. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Look for Lac Boubou in the Laurentides part of Quebec. The surroundings are mixed forest. It covers about 4 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. Rivière-Rouge is the closest town at 25 km. After that come Labelle at 41 km and Ferme-Neuve at 42 km. Within a short run: Lac Croche at 0.5 km, Lac de la Roche a touch under 1 km, Lac Faradon at 1.4 km, Lac Toc a touch under 1.7 km and Lac Tac at 2 km. The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Survey and observation records for Laurentides include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and yellow perch. County data is a starting point rather than a guarantee. On Lac Boubou the obvious spot is not always the productive one.
Between January at about -15°C and July at about 17°C, the water has a wide range to work through. The year runs cold to warm and back, with clear transitions. Count on hard cover from midwinter, and open water from late April. The open-water window runs from around late April to about late November in an average year. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. On Lac Boubou the same rules apply, with local timing.
Public sources are silent on who controls the bank. Nothing formal is recorded here: no ramp, no car park, no marked path. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Check whether bait restrictions apply before you buy any. Lac Croche at 0.5 km is the sensible second choice. Confirm before you fish Lac Boubou.
