Flat light and a covered sky today, with a kind S breeze on the water with the barometer flat. The water to cover at Lac Bleu is structure within a cast of the bank. Set the alarm around the night. Change depth before you change anything else. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Within Laurentides, Quebec, you have Lac Bleu. The setting is lake country bush on every side. This is a pocket water of some 3 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. Our Laurentides list holds plenty of bigger water. For supplies, Mont-Tremblant is 5.3 km out. For a city, Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne is 89 km off. The nearest boundary is well away, so one set of rules covers the water.
The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Records held for Laurentides cover pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brook trout and rock bass. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. The near bank of Lac Bleu is often the one people ignore.
Averages here run 18°C at the top of summer and -14°C at the bottom of winter. The year runs cold to warm and back, with clear transitions. Winter locks it down, and late April brings it back. Break-up near late April, freeze-up near late November: that is the shape of an average year. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Lac Bleu runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. For boats, Marina du Lac Bibite (PLTN) lies 1.2 km out. The closest car park is 1.3 km away, so pack accordingly. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Lac Bibite, 1 km away, makes the obvious fallback. The position on Lac Bleu is worth confirming on the day.
