Thin cloud passing over the water tonight, with dead-still conditions with the barometer flat. Activity on Lac Bipede should centre on inflow corners and shaded margins. If you must go, go in the night. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Look for Lac Bipede in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue part of Quebec. It stands 370 metres above sea level. Roughly 37 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. About 3.8 km of bank, so nothing stays unexplored for long. Notre-Dame-du-Lac lies 76 km from the water. Saint-Isidore is 78 km away, with Témiscaming at 81 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth is unmeasured here, so let the shoreline guide you. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Open biodiversity records for Abitibi-Témiscamingue list northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Read Lac Bipede before you fish it and the day goes better.
Typical July readings run about 17°C; by January the average is down near -16°C. Cold winters and warm summers give a wide working range. The lid usually sets by midwinter and gives way around late April. The season between ice runs from about late April to late November. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. The season on Lac Bipede follows the weather closely.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. There is no mapped parking or launch nearby, which keeps numbers down. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Where access is informal, keep it that way by behaving. Barbless rules turn up on managed water more often than not. Lac Champoux at 1.3 km is the sensible second choice. Rules at Lac Bipede are worth checking on the day.
