A closed sky with even light today, with a whisper of wind from the SW and steady pressure. The productive water at Lac Bathelt will be around the shallows early and the drop later. A hard day on paper; the morning edges the rest. Go lighter and slower than usual. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

In Quebec, Lac Bathelt falls inside Abitibi-Témiscamingue. It sits at 369 metres above sea level. This is a pocket water of some 5 hectares, and every part of it is reachable from the bank. It is a small entry by Abitibi-Témiscamingue standards. Senneterre at 97 km is the nearest place to stop. For a city, Gatineau is 267 km off. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Open biodiversity records for Abitibi-Témiscamingue list northern pike, yellow perch, walleye and white sucker. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. Lac Bathelt repays a walk before the first cast.
Averages here run 17°C at the top of summer and -18°C at the bottom of winter. Cold dominates the year and the fishing works around it. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around early May. Going by climate averages, expect open water from about early May until roughly mid November. September and October fish steadily right up to the freeze. Plan around that when you fish Lac Bathelt.
Nothing on record says whether the bank is open or closed. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Night access is frequently treated as a separate matter. Should this one be busy, Lac du Pendentif is 1.1 km off. Treat Lac Bathelt as unsettled until someone local tells you otherwise.
