No direct sun expected today, with a faint WSW drift and pressure going nowhere. Most of the action on Lac aux Iroquois should come off points where shallow meets deep. If you must go, go in the night. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. Cooling water has fish active and on the move.

Lac aux Iroquois sits in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, out in Quebec. The ground around here is spruce and muskeg. With some 58 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. The shoreline runs about 6.5 km, so it pays to pick a stretch and stay with it. Size puts it in the front rank of our Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean list. The town to know is Roberval, 25 km out. Then Saint-Prime, 27 km, and Saint-Félicien, 31 km. The nearest edge is a long way off, so local rules apply throughout.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Species logged across Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean include northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. Read Lac aux Iroquois for ten minutes before the first cast goes out.
Expect July to average close to 17°C, with January the cold end at about -17°C. Open water arrives late and leaves early, which concentrates the fishing. The open season starts with the thaw, near enough early May. From about early May to around mid November, expect open water on the long-run figures. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. That is the shape of the year on Lac aux Iroquois.
Nothing we hold confirms whether access is permitted. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Where the way in crosses private ground, ask first. Lac Moreau sits 0.5 km off and takes the overflow. Confirm access to Lac aux Iroquois locally before you travel.
