Passing showers with dry spells between, with a kind WSW breeze on the water with a settled glass. Expect most activity at Lac Arthur around the shallows early and the drop later. Little to get excited about, though the middle of the day holds a sliver of promise. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water.

The Côte-Nord entry here is Lac Arthur, in Quebec. It lies 510 metres above sea level. Surface area is around 17 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The full circuit measures close to 2.1 km on foot. It sits higher than most water we list in Quebec. Forestville is the closest town at 83 km. Beyond it, Betsiamites at 95 km and Chute-aux-Outardes at 106 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
No depth figure appears in our records, so the bank has to tell you. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Reported across Côte-Nord: logperch. The list covers the county rather than this water alone, so treat it as a guide. At Lac Arthur the water rewards a slow, careful approach.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 16°C, while January sits near -18°C. Everything is compressed into the middle of the year. Expect a solid lid for months and a thaw around early May. The season between ice runs from about early May to mid November. Look to early summer and the first cool weeks of autumn. That is the shape of the year on Lac Arthur.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. There is no recorded infrastructure here; expect to find your own way in. For the perch, a small jig tipped with worm, dropped along the edges, is hard to beat. Some banks are open only from a marked point. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Should this one be busy, Lac Savoie is 1.1 km off. Check the position at Lac Arthur before loading the car.
