Flat light and a covered sky today, with a gentle ripple from the WSW with the glass holding level. The fish at Lac Antoine are likely to sit near the weed line and any gaps in it. Numbers are low everywhere; the night is the pick of them. Scale down and fish slowly. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Lac Antoine sits in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean, out in Quebec. The setting is boreal forest on every side. Roughly 47 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. Shoreline length is close to 5.6 km, and each section fishes a little differently. Few waters listed in Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean are bigger. The nearest place of any size is Pont Rouge, 65 km away. Dolbeau-Mistassini is 65 km away, with Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc at 67 km. The nearest boundary is a fair way off.
No depth figure appears in our records, so the bank has to tell you. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Reported across Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean: northern pike, Atlantic salmon, lake whitefish and fallfish. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. Lac Antoine responds to conditions more than to tactics.
Average temperature peaks around 17°C in July and bottoms out near -20°C in January. The ice season is long here and the open one short. After early May the shallows warm and the fish move up. Average temperatures cross freezing around early May in spring and again near mid November in autumn. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. Lac Antoine fishes to that pattern most years.
Public data does not answer the access question here. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. No built facilities appear in mapping around this water. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Should this one be busy, Petit lac Ben is 0.7 km off. For Lac Antoine in particular, ask before you travel.
