A clear night sky over the water, with hardly a ripple anywhere and no real change in pressure. Expect most activity at Lac Alcee around the shallows early and the drop later. Little to get excited about, though the morning holds a sliver of promise. Fish the best hour hard and keep the rest short.

Lac Alcee is one of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue listings for Quebec. The setting is lake country bush. Val-d'Or lies 87 km from the water. Gatineau sits 246 km out, and it is the nearest city worth the name. Water in the same corner: Lac Montgeon roughly 1.2 km, 2 km away is Lac Pavetta, Lac du Carpeau roughly 2.2 km, 2.4 km away is Lac Glaive and Lac Viorne roughly 2.5 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
Depth is not on record here, which means reading the ground instead. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Fish documented in Abitibi-Témiscamingue include northern pike, yellow perch and walleye. What holds for the county may not hold for this water. Lac Alcee gives up its fish to patience rather than distance.
Climate records put July near 17°C and January near -16°C. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. Hard water holds through the cold months, breaking up near early May. The open-water window runs from around early May to about late November in an average year. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. Lac Alcee fishes to that pattern most years.
Ownership and access are not documented in what we hold. There is no mapped parking or launch close by, which usually means walking in. A wire trace and a big bright lure handle the pike; deep water asks for a heavier spoon. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. Should this one be busy, Lac Montgeon is 1.2 km off. Nothing here settles the position at Lac Alcee for certain.
