Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with a useful WSW wind pushing food about with the glass holding level. The water to cover at Lac a Pierre is windblown banks where food collects. A broad window opens from night into morning. Commit to the pattern once the first fish shows. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

This water sits in Côte-Nord, Quebec. It lies 26 metres above sea level. Roughly 30 hectares: a morning covers one end, an afternoon the other. About 2.7 km of bank, so nothing stays unexplored for long. By elevation it sits in the lower part of our Quebec listings. Nearest place of any size is Havre-Saint-Pierre, 60 km away. The big place round here is Sydney, 504 km distant. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
There is no recorded depth, so work from what you can see. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. County-wide records name logperch. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. Work Lac a Pierre in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Between January at about -14°C and July at about 15°C, the water has a wide range to work through. The year splits cleanly: hard water, then open water. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around early May. Break-up sits around early May on average, with the water closing again about late November. May into June fishes hardest, and September gives a second good stretch before the lid returns. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Lac a Pierre.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. The map shows no ramp or car park nearby, so this is a walk-in water. Perch take small lures and worms fished near the bottom close to structure. Check locally before you travel, because a wasted drive is a long one. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. For a change of water, Lac Uhu is 8.6 km distant. None of that is settled for Lac a Pierre in what we hold.
