  Twomey Lake lies in Thunder Bay District, in Ontario. Everything around it is boreal forest. The water covers some 98 hectares, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. Some 8.7 km of bank gives room to move when the wind turns. Nearest town is Longlac, 30 km off. Beyond it, Geraldton at 35 km and Greenstone at 48 km.
