No direct sun expected today, with almost no wind to speak of and no real change in pressure. Expect most activity at Toronto Lake around inflow corners and shaded margins. Set the alarm around the night. Work the productive water thoroughly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Set in District Municipality of Muskoka, Toronto Lake is an Ontario water. It stands 234 metres above sea level. With some 50 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. Around 7.6 km of bank, which is a long day on foot. It is low-lying compared with other Ontario water we list. The nearest town is Parry Sound, 34 km away. Beyond it, Bracebridge at 36 km and Gravenhurst at 37 km. The boundary is near enough that local access rules are worth double-checking.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. Species logged across District Municipality of Muskoka include pumpkinseed, smallmouth bass and northern pike. The county figures include rivers and lakes alike. Toronto Lake fishes better once you know its edges.
The range across the year is -10°C to 19°C. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Ice-out usually falls in mid April, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Averages suggest open water from about mid April through to roughly early December. The shoulder weeks of the open season are the productive ones. Plan around that when you fish Toronto Lake.
Public sources are silent on who controls the bank. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Public data shows nothing built here, so treat the whole approach as informal. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. Haggart Lake, 0.8 km away, makes the obvious fallback. For Toronto Lake in particular, ask before you travel.
