Overcast skies today, with a light W breeze and pressure going nowhere. Tea Lake should fish best around any hard bottom among the soft today. The day fishes best from afternoon into evening. Pick two or three spots and rotate them. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

In Ontario, Tea Lake belongs to Algoma. Everything around it is pine and birch. It covers about 9 hectares, so this is small water you can walk round in under an hour. The edge runs 1.4 km or so, easy to work in an afternoon. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Algoma. Start from Elliot Lake, 22 km down the road. Blind River lies 30 km off, Thessalon another 56 km. One jurisdiction covers this water end to end.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. County-wide records name walleye, northern pike, Iowa darter, yellow perch and white sucker. Records at county level tell you what is around, not what is stocked here. At Tea Lake the first feature you find is worth twenty minutes.
On the long-term average, July reads 18°C and January reads -12°C. Fishing here follows the temperature more than the calendar. Once it clears, about late April, the fishing comes on quickly. Break-up sits around late April on average, with the water closing again about late November. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Tea Lake runs to its own calendar within the local pattern.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. No launch point is recorded nearby, so this is a bank water unless you carry a boat in. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Check locally before you travel, because a wasted drive is a long one. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Coffee Lake at 1 km is the sensible second choice. Where Tea Lake is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
