Scattered cloud dimming the moonlight, with a decent WSW wind working the banks and pressure sitting still. The productive water at Taylors Lake will be around the shaded margin through bright spells. Everything points to the evening. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Taylors Lake is listed under Parry Sound District, Ontario. The setting is mixed forest on every side. Surface area is around 12 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. There is roughly 2.5 km of shoreline here, which is a short walk end to end. For a base, Parry Sound sits 34 km out. After that come South River at 57 km and Powassan at 70 km. It sits well inside its county, with no border complications.
Open data we checked carries no depth for this water. Bays and points beat straight shoreline every time on water like this. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. Fish documented in Parry Sound District include smallmouth bass, pumpkinseed, yellow perch and northern pike. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. Taylors Lake fishes better once you know its edges.
Expect July to average close to 19°C, with January the cold end at about -10°C. Seasons are distinct, and each one fishes differently. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around mid April. The lid tends to go about mid April and return around early December. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. On Taylors Lake the same rules apply, with local timing.
Whether the bank is open is not something our records settle. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Nothing built is recorded close to the bank here. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Ask in the nearest town if you are unsure. Access can change hands, so last year's answer may not hold. Little Gooseneck Lake, 0.7 km away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Taylors Lake in what we hold.
