Bright moon and an empty sky tonight, with a mirror surface most of the day and no real change in pressure. Fish at Sing Creek should hold close to eddies behind cover. Make the evening the heart of the trip. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Nearest other option: Cottle Lake a shade over 5.5 km, Win Lake near enough 5.6 km, Dasent Lake a shade over 7.2 km, Shikag Lake near enough 7.3 km and Ruxton Lake a shade over 7.3 km. Depth figures are not published for this one. The outside of each bend cuts deepest and holds the better fish. Slack water behind an obstruction is worth more than open current. Fish documented in Kenora District include northern pike, longnose sucker, white sucker, johnny darter and logperch. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. The shape of Sing Creek rewards a slow walk along one bank.
The warm month here averages 18°C; the cold one sits at -20°C. Expect a real winter and a strong spring after it. Winter slows the flow and edges it with ice; the open runs keep fishing where the current holds. The lid tends to go about early May and return around mid November. The middle of summer slows a little, with dawn and dusk carrying it. It sets the rhythm of the year at Sing Creek.
No access rule appears in what we hold. Nothing built is recorded close to the bank here. For the pike, wire up and throw larger lures along the weed edges. Where a permit is needed, the nearest town usually sells it. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. For a change of water, Cottle Lake is 5.5 km distant. For Sing Creek in particular, ask before you travel.
