Silver Lake near Little Current: Fishing Spots, Seasons and Access

  This water sits in Manitoulin District, Ontario. This is mixed forest ground. With some 38 hectares of water, there is room for a boat but no need of one. The bank runs about 3.0 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. It is low-lying compared with other Ontario water we list. • Where to Fish on Silver Lake

  The seasonal spread runs -10°C to 19°C. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Ice-out usually falls in mid April, and the weeks after it fish hardest. The season between ice runs from about mid April to early December. Fish feed hardest at the start and the close of the open season. Silver Lake runs to that rhythm year in and year out.
