Robinson Lake near Bancroft: Fishing Spots, Seasons and Access

• Overview

  The Lennox and Addington County end of Ontario holds Robinson Lake. Height above sea level is 331 metres. Surface area is around 10 hectares, which gives you real water without needing a boat. The bank runs about 1.5 km all the way round, so one visit can cover most of it. Bancroft is the closest town at 29 km. Madoc is 59 km away, with Eganville at 63 km. The line between counties passes nearby, which can change who manages the water.

A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Species logged across Lennox and Addington County include pumpkinseed, rock bass, smallmouth bass and bluegill.   Expect July to average close to 19°C, with January the cold end at about -12°C. Winter closes the water for a while, and the reopening is worth catching. Ice is part of the season here, ending near late April. The lid tends to go about late April and return around early December.   Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. There is no mapped parking or launch close by, which usually means walking in.
