Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with a light chop building from the SW with a settled glass. On Parkline Lake, work inflow corners and shaded margins first. A hard day on paper; the night edges the rest. Scale down and fish slowly. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Parkline Lake sits in Renfrew County, out in Ontario. The bank is 245 metres above sea level. The water covers some 20 hectares, so pick a bank rather than trying to cover it all. About 3.0 km of bank, so nothing stays unexplored for long. Deep River lies 23 km from the water. Gatineau is the closest city, 176 km away. Within a short drive: Mill Lake after 0.8 km, Lature Lake 1.9 km, Hogsback Lake after 2 km, Findlay Lake 2.3 km and Woods Lake after 2.6 km. There is no boundary nearby to worry about.
We hold no survey for this water; read the slope of the shoreline instead. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Reported across Renfrew County: smallmouth bass, pumpkinseed, yellow perch, rock bass and brook trout. The county list is broader than any single water. The shape of Parkline Lake rewards a slow walk along one bank.
July is the warm end of the year here, averaging about 19°C, while January sits near -13°C. A hard winter is normal, and the thaw brings a strong few weeks. After late April the shallows warm and the fish move up. On the long-run averages the water opens up around late April and starts locking again about late November. Spring is short and heavy here; autumn is longer and steadier. The season on Parkline Lake rarely departs from it.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Public data shows nothing built here, so treat the whole approach as informal. Bass water: a Texas-rigged worm near cover, a spinnerbait when you need to cover ground. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. If the gate is shut, Mill Lake at 0.8 km is the nearest alternative. None of that is settled for Parkline Lake in what we hold.
