Solid cloud cover today, with barely a breath of wind and pressure sitting still. Activity on Oshawong Lake should centre on inflow corners and shaded margins. Save your energy for the evening. Change depth before you change anything else. Shortening days concentrate the feeding into fewer hours.

You will find Oshawong Lake in Sudbury, Ontario. The bank is 389 metres above sea level. This is sizeable water at about 1.10 sq km, and a boat opens up most of it. Shoreline length is close to 7.9 km, and each section fishes a little differently. On our Sudbury list it sits near the top for size. Nearest town is Capreol, 64 km off. Rayside-Balfour follows at 66 km, then Valley East at 67 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
Open data we checked carries no depth for this water. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. County-wide records name smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch and Iowa darter. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. On Oshawong Lake the quiet end is the one worth the extra effort.
The year swings from about -16°C in January to roughly 17°C in July. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Once it clears, about late April, the fishing comes on quickly. Ice clears near late April and comes back about late November in a typical year. The open run goes from the thaw to the freeze, and April through October covers most of it. It holds true on Oshawong Lake more years than not.
We hold no note on access for this one. Records list it as a natural water body rather than an impoundment. No made access appears within a short radius, so plan to park on a verge and walk. A small crankbait along the drop and a worm in the thick stuff cover the bass. Parking space is the usual limit rather than the bank itself. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Shack Lake sits 2.3 km off and takes the overflow. Nothing here settles the position at Oshawong Lake for certain.
