Solid cloud cover today, with a decent SW wind working the banks and pressure sitting still. On Ojibway Lake, work the seam between weed and open water first. If you must go, go in the night. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly. Cooler water spreads fish back across the shallows.

Ojibway Lake is a Nipissing District water, Ontario side. This is rolling bush country. At roughly 10 hectares, the whole thing is within casting reach of a single walk. The whole outline is near 1.3 km, and most of it is walkable. The closest town, United Townships of Dysart, Dudley, Harcourt, Guilford, Harburn, Bruton, Havelock, Eyre and Clyde, is 48 km away. Bancroft follows at 65 km, then Haliburton Village at 67 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth here is unknown, so count the lead down before committing. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Across Nipissing District, recorded fish include smallmouth bass, cisco, yellow perch, pumpkinseed and rock bass. The county list is broader than any single water. Anyone new to Ojibway Lake should walk it once before setting up.
The seasonal spread runs -13°C to 18°C. The freeze arrives properly here and holds. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around late April. Ice usually gives way near late April, and forms again about late November. The first weeks of open water and the last are the ones to plan for. At Ojibway Lake the season follows that pattern closely.
Nothing on record says whether the bank is open or closed. No dam controls it, and the level follows the season. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Sort the permit out before you load the car. Some stretches are reserved and marked as such on the ground. For a change of water, Richard Lake is 0.9 km distant. Where Ojibway Lake is concerned, a local answer beats a written one.
