Low, flat cloud sitting over the water, with a faint W drift and no real change in pressure. Norway Mud Lake should fish best around windblown banks where food collects today. The strongest window is the middle of the day. Stay patient; middling days often turn late. The pre-winter feed makes autumn days generous.

Norway Mud Lake is a Lennox and Addington County water, in Ontario. This is lake country bush ground. About 4 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. Our Lennox and Addington County list holds plenty of bigger water. Start from Sharbot Lake, 29 km down the road. Beyond it, Tweed at 32 km and Skatepark at 38 km. You are close to a county edge here; who manages the access can change within a short drive.
Without a survey to go on, judge depth from how the bank falls away. Where the bottom changes texture, fish gather; find that line. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. County-wide records name pumpkinseed, rock bass, smallmouth bass and bluegill. Several of these carry legal protection or closed seasons; the rulebook comes before the rod. Read Norway Mud Lake before you fish it and the day goes better.
Average temperature peaks around 20°C in July and bottoms out near -10°C in January. Winter shuts the surface down for months. Winter fishing happens on the ice here, with open water back around mid April. Break-up near mid April, freeze-up near early December: that is the shape of an average year. Reckon on open water from spring through to late autumn, with May and June the strongest. Keep it in mind when planning a trip to Norway Mud Lake.
Whether you may fish here is not something records settle. You can camp about 340 m away, going by the mapping. Puzzle Lake Provincial Park takes in this water; protected-area rules will apply. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Gates get locked out of season on water like this. Fishing rules and camping rules are set separately here. If the gate is shut, Loyst Lake at 0.7 km is the nearest alternative. None of that is settled for Norway Mud Lake in what we hold.
