Passing showers with dry spells between, with mild air moving in from the W with a settled glass. Whatever swims in McGee Lake should be near the first drop-off and weed lines. A tough forecast; the night offers the only real chance. One good spot fished well beats five fished quickly.

No border sits close enough to matter.
Our records hold no depth for this water. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Across Sudbury, recorded fish include smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch, Iowa darter and walleye. The county list is broader than any single water. Work McGee Lake in sections rather than trying to cover it.
Average temperature peaks around 16°C in July and bottoms out near -16°C in January. Little of the calendar is open water, so timing counts for everything. Ice-out usually falls in early May, and the weeks after it fish hardest. Climate figures give an open season running early May to mid November. From the thaw to midsummer the fishing improves week by week. Expect McGee Lake to follow that timing.
The rules here are undocumented as far as public sources go. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. There is no mapped parking or launch nearby, which keeps numbers down. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. A landowner's word beats anything printed elsewhere. Some water is controlled locally without a sign saying so. The nearest alternative is Adams Lake, 1.5 km out.
