No cloud to trap the day's warmth tonight, with a whisper of wind from the W and no real change in pressure. Fish at Lee Lake should hold close to bays that hold the day's warmth. The best of it runs the day. Push the good hours hard and rest through the dead ones. Falling temperatures are switching fish back on.

Lee Lake sits within Nipissing District in Ontario. The ground round it is rolling bush. Around 36 hectares of surface means several distinct areas to work. A shoreline of some 2.2 km keeps the choices simple. The town to know is United Townships of Dysart, Dudley, Harcourt, Guilford, Harburn, Bruton, Havelock, Eyre and Clyde, 63 km out. After that come Chalk River at 68 km and Deep River at 70 km. This one is safely inside the county line.
Depth is unknown to us, and the shoreline is the better guide. Still water like this holds fish on the edges rather than out in the open. Read the surface for the wind lane, then fish the edge of it. Fish documented in Nipissing District include smallmouth bass, cisco, yellow perch and pumpkinseed. Those are county-wide records, so not every one of them will be in this water. The near bank of Lee Lake is often the one people ignore.
The year swings from about -13°C in January to roughly 18°C in July. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Hard water holds through the cold months, breaking up near late April. Average temperatures cross freezing around late April in spring and again near late November in autumn. Fishing peaks soon after break-up and again before the cold returns. Lee Lake fishes to that pattern most years.
The access position is unclear from public sources. This is a natural basin, not a dammed one. Nothing built is recorded close to the bank here. Largemouth respond to soft plastics tight to cover; go weedless where the growth is heavy. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Some ground is open by custom rather than by right, so tread carefully. If the gate is shut, Bonfield Lake at 1.8 km is the nearest alternative. None of that is settled for Lee Lake in what we hold.
