  Flora Lake lies within the bounds of Kenora District, Ontario. Height above sea level is 352 metres. This is sizeable water at about 1.93 sq km, and a boat opens up most of it. Some 15 km of bank gives room to move when the wind turns. Vermilion Bay sits 52 km from the bank. Further out sit Kenora (66 km) and Dryden (79 km). This one is safely inside the county line.

• Where to Fish on Flora Lake

  The records we hold are silent on depth, so plan to find it yourself. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. A soft bed grows weed late into autumn, which keeps fish shallow. Records held for Kenora District cover northern pike, longnose sucker, white sucker and johnny darter.
