A closed sky with even light today, with next to no ripple and the barometer holding steady. Activity on Creppy Lake should centre on the calm side of the wind. The productive run goes afternoon into evening. Start on the obvious water and expand from there. Autumn rewards covering water while the fish roam.

Creppy Lake belongs to Thunder Bay District, Ontario. Around the bank it is mixed forest. About 6 hectares of surface, which puts the far bank inside easy sight. Our Thunder Bay District list holds plenty of bigger water. 77 km away sits Lappe, the nearest town. After that come County Park at 91 km and Shuniah Township at 92 km. The county line is nowhere near, so one local authority covers the water.
Depth remains unrecorded, so treat the first session as a survey. On a natural lake the weed line and the shelf beyond it do the work. A natural lake fishes on cover, and cover here means weed and timber. Across Thunder Bay District, recorded fish include cisco, blackfin cisco, rainbow smelt and bloater. These are county-wide records, so not all of them will be in this water. At Creppy Lake light and wind decide more than tackle does.
The warm month here averages 17°C; the cold one sits at -20°C. The season turns properly here, and fish follow it closely. Hard water holds through the cold months, breaking up near early May. Expect the water usable from around early May until roughly mid November. The strongest runs come at either end of the open season. Anyone fishing Creppy Lake regularly works to that calendar.
Who may fish here is not settled in anything we hold. We find no slipway, car park or made path within a short radius, so treat access as rough. Keep the gear simple: light line, small hooks, split shot and a couple of proven lures. Take the rules with you rather than trusting memory. Where tickets apply, they are sold in the nearest town rather than on the bank. For a change of water, Fall Lake is 1.7 km distant. What applies at Creppy Lake may have changed since it was mapped.
