A rainy spell sitting over the area, with barely a breath of wind and pressure going nowhere. Activity on Beauregard Lake should centre on the weed line and any gaps in it. Numbers are low everywhere; the morning is the pick of them. Go lighter and slower than usual. Autumn fish are feeding up and less fussy than in summer.

Beauregard Lake is one of the Kenora District waters in Ontario. The bank is 371 metres above sea level. Roughly 1.26 sq km of surface: treat each bay as a water in its own right. The margin runs to about 8.0 km in total. The town to know is Red Lake, 32 km out. The big place round here is Winnipeg, 263 km distant. This one is safely inside the county line.
No figure exists for depth, so let the water show you. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. Across Kenora District, recorded fish include northern pike, longnose sucker and white sucker. Read it as a county summary, not a water-by-water list. Read Beauregard Lake before you fish it and the day goes better.
Expect July near 18°C and January near -19°C on the long-run figures. Winter shuts the surface down for months. Break-up comes around late April, and the run that follows is short and strong. Averages suggest open water from about late April through to roughly mid November. The first weeks of open water and the last are the ones to plan for. Expect Beauregard Lake to follow that timing.
No public source sets out the position on this bank. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. Pike mean a wire trace, no exceptions; big spoons and jerkbaits do the searching. Bank access can be seasonal on ground like this. Where parking is tight, arriving early solves most problems. Failing this one, try Overnight Lake, 9.1 km away. Nothing on Beauregard Lake should be assumed from this page alone.
