Not a cloud worth mentioning today, with a helpful ripple pushed from the WNW with a settled glass. The productive water at T-bone Lake will be around sheltered bays and points. The strongest window is the evening. Fish tidy and take what the day gives. The season of moving fish: stay mobile and watch for bait.

Out in Reynolds, Manitoba, sits T-bone Lake. The setting is lake country bush. At 4 hectares it is the sort of place you fish for an evening rather than a day. It is one of the smaller waters we list in Reynolds. Lac du Bonnet lies 59 km from the water. Beyond it, Kenora at 72 km and Moose Lake at 76 km. It sits well inside the county, so one set of rules covers it.
No published figure covers depth, so learn it as you fish. This is a lake, so the margins and the first drop matter most. Look for the band where the shallows give up and the bottom falls away. Across Reynolds, recorded fish include northern pike, walleye, yellow perch and johnny darter. Records at this level tell you what is in the area. The shape of T-bone Lake decides where the fish sit.
Expect July to average close to 19°C, with January the cold end at about -19°C. A full turn of seasons, with the strongest sport on either side of summer. Look for the thaw near late April; the fishing lifts straight after. Climate averages put the opening at about late April and the closing near mid November. Fishing peaks soon after break-up and again before the cold returns. The season on T-bone Lake rarely departs from it.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. Nothing is mapped in the way of a ramp or car park within a short radius. For the bass here, soft plastics worked slow along cover and a spinnerbait for searching do most of the work. Check whether a boat is allowed before you tow one. Rules for boats are stricter than rules for the bank in many places. The Pothole, 1.3 km away, makes the obvious fallback. Confirm before you fish T-bone Lake.
