Clear overhead with good moonlight, with a gentle ripple from the S with a settled glass. Fish at Azure Lake should hold close to inflow corners and shaded margins. A stay-home graph, with the middle of the day as the one excuse to go. Downsize everything and pick the calmest water. A cold snap day, so work the warmest water you can find.

Azure Lake lies in Grande Cache, in Alberta. It lies 1,963 metres above sea level. Around 48 hectares of surface means several distinct areas to work. The shoreline runs about 5.4 km, so it pays to pick a stretch and stay with it. By elevation it is in the upper part of our Alberta listings. Grande Cache sits 48 km from the bank. Then Valemount, 71 km, and Jasper, 89 km. No border sits close enough to matter.
Depth went unrecorded, which puts the reading back on you. The shallow end warms first and pulls fish in ahead of the rest. The productive water is a rod length or two out, not a hundred. Fish documented in Grande Cache include bull trout, mountain whitefish, Arctic grayling and brook trout. Protected fish appear in the records for this area, so treat the list as information, not an invitation. Anyone new to Azure Lake should walk it once before setting up.
Climate records put August near 8°C and December near -12°C. Fishing here follows the temperature more than the calendar. Ice is part of the season here, ending near early June. Expect the water usable from around early June until roughly mid October. June through September is the settled part of the year, with the shoulders busier for fish. That is the shape of the year on Azure Lake.
There is no clear statement anywhere on who can fish it. It formed naturally, so levels move with rainfall rather than with a gate. Mapping shows an empty shoreline: no ramp, no jetty, no marked entry. Trout here take small spinners, spoons and, where fly water allows, a nymph or dry. Season dates differ by species, so read the table. A polite question at the farm gate opens more banks than anything else. Twintree Lake, 10 km away, makes the obvious fallback. None of that is settled for Azure Lake in what we hold.
